Domestic Animals Rules
PURPOSE
Canterwood HOA wishes to ensure the beauty and safety of the community and therefore owners of domestic animals will be required to adhere to the following rules.
LICENSING
Pierce County requires that all domestic animals be licensed. Canterwood is no exception to this rule. An ID tag is also required at all times.
LEASH
All dogs must be kept on a leash when off owner’s property as required by Pierce County Animal Control. Off leash areas may be considered at a later date.
FECAL MATTER
Pet owners are required to have in their possession equipment necessary to remove fecal matter when off owner’s property, and deposit it in owner’s garbage.
GOLF COURSE
No domestic animals are allowed on the golf course at any time, whether on a leash or not.Exception: Service and Guide dogs.
NOISE
Obnoxious and repetitive noise (e.g.: barking, squawking) from domestic animals will not be tolerated.
VIOLATIONS
Animals posing immediate hazard or threat should be reported to Pierce County Animal Control immediately. Violations of these rules should be reported to HOA Office. First Offense will result in a warning. Second Offense will result in a 2nd warning. Third Offense will result in a minimum fine of $50. Fourth Offense will result in request to Pierce County Animal Control for seizure of animal and additional fines.
