One of the BOD’s core objectives is the enhancement of traffic safety on our CW streets. To continue with this effort in 2019, the BOD is implementing the registration of golf carts to enable our security team to identify carts that may be in violation of traffic safety rules.
The traffic regulations for our private roads have for many years been the same as RCW Titles 46 & 47, which apply to dedicated public roads in the State of Washington. All persons operating either a golf cart or motorized vehicle of any kind, must hold a valid driver’s license. Operational violations and penalties as described in our Traffic Regulations, apply also to golf carts and will be enforced.
Beginning April 1, all golf cart owners are asked to stop by the HOA office to register their information and obtain a sticker that will be placed on the driver’s side, front quarter panel. (If this location is not visible at all times on your particular cart, please bring the cart to the HOA office where a similar spot can be located and approved.) There will be no charge for this registration and sticker during the first 3 months of the new program. However, beginning July 1, those that have not yet registered their vehicle will be charged a registration fee of $5.00 to obtain the required sticker. If a cart is seen on the streets of CW without a sticker after August 1, a penalty of $50.00 will be imposed, in addition to the registration and sticker cost of $5.00.
Please plan to register and obtain your stickers this spring while they are FREE!! Additional announcements will be sent to remind residents of the deadline for the free stickers.
Help us keep our CW streets safe!
